Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, Domaine Leroy 2007

"Leroy often seems to get petrol notes in her Corton-Charlemagne and the `07 version has them as well, along with notes of green fruit, floral and menthol plus a background hint of oak that introduces big, rich, serious and intensely mineral-driven big-bodied flavors brimming with dry extract that confers a textured quality to the powerful, lemony and bone dry finish that completely stains the palate. This is certainly a huge wine but there is no loss of detail or balance and it actually seems light on its feet even though it`s one of the biggest wines of the vintage. Patience required."
